Join the Reverse Advent Campaign for MK Food Bank
During November collect much-needed items for the MK Food Bank and then donate them at our special event on Saturday 26th November
Each year ForMK plays its part in the MK FoodBank Reverse Advent campaign. This year, the need for vital food supplies for those who may go without this Christmas is greater than ever. That is why we are running the Reverse Advent campaign again in 2022.
Simply collect food items from the list below. We will be holding a special event on Saturday 26th November where Santa’s Sleigh will be in the Milton Keynes Christian Centre Car Park ready to receive all your donations! All the items donated will be passed direct to MK FoodBank for distribution during December and beyond.
The Reverse Advent Appeal will run throughout November 2022.
You can use any box or bag you like to collect your items. As this is not a hamper for just one family, please don’t decorate your box.
During December MK Food Bank will sort all donations and make them into food parcels that include Christmas treats. Your donations will therefore go to several households.
Please fill most of your box with our MOST-NEEDED items:
- Long life juice or squash
- Long life milk
- Biscuits
- Cereals
- Tinned Pasta
- Pasta sauce
- Tinned tomatoes
- Tinned fruit
- Tinned meat
- Tinned fish
- Tinned Pulses
- Tinned Veg
- Dried rice in 500g or 1kg packets
- Spreads – jam or peanut butter
- Rice Pudding/Custard
- Cereal
- Biscuits
- Loo Roll
And include a few small Christmas treats, for example:
Small packs of chocolate or sweets (chocolate oranges, matchmakers, tubes of smarties, fruit pastilles etc are perfect)
Tubs or bags of Christmassy snacks like Twiglets, Mini Cheddars or nuts
Mini versions of Christmas cakes or Stollen
Crisps e.g. Pringles
