FORMK were able to support the Nigerian Community Association through the ‘MKCC Fund’
Recently we gave the Nigerian Community Association £1,500 through the MKCC Fund.
This grant funded a cooking project for young Nigerian children to build identity, confidence and enhance cooking skills
Participants were able to understand basic cooking skills, where food comes from and they were more likely to be able to make Nigerian foods. They learned more about their culture and were prepared for a more independent future. It also helped greatly in identifying Nigerian dishes within a balanced diet.
