GIVE ♥️ SERVE ♥️ LOVE
We believe that it is God’s desire that we also serve our community. The most valuable thing we can give anyone is our time. We can always make more money but, once we have spent our time it has gone. So we invited people to come together and unleash a wave of generosity by volunteering our time in some of the great organisations working for the good of the people of Milton Keynes.
On Tuesday 29th March 2022 we held our first-ever forMK Volunteer Expo at Milton Keynes Christian Centre. Over 100 people came to meet various local organisations that are looking for help and support.
Feedback from the forMK Volunteer Expo
Many of the organisations were overwhelmed with the kindness of the people who attended. They felt it was an amazing event and exceeded expectations.
One of the organisations, Depaul, has shared the following:
On Tuesday, we had the privilege of joining a volunteer expo, hosted by Milton Keynes Christian Centre. The event was part of the church’s ‘Be Rich’ series, where members have been encouraged to Give, to Serve and to Love ❤️
What a turn out!!! We were sitting alongside numerous other incredible and vital organisations, all working to support all communities across Milton Keynes
We were talking nonstop with people interested in hearing about Depaul UK’s offering in MK and voluntary opportunities with our Nightstop UK service.
It was a joyous evening and we are so grateful to have been invited to such a giving event 👏 A massive THANK YOU goes out to Arlene Peters and the MKCC team, who kindly invited us and arranged the expo. And to all of those who we spoke with on the night: it was a real pleasure to meet you!
