Wolverton Community Orchard was created in 2003 from a derelict allotment site that had become an unsightly mess.

The Orchard now has over 50 productive fruit trees, a sensory garden and an allotment area where plants are grown for the orchard and to support Wolverton & Greenleys in Bloom’s efforts every year. Almost all the orchard is wheelchair-friendly and there are several raised beds to make work easy. It’s open every day in daylight hours for play, contemplation and picnics and there are regular community events during the year with live music and refreshments.

FORMK were able to support the Wolverton Community Orchard through the ‘MKCC Fund’

Recently we gave the Wolverton Community Orchard in Milton Keynes £875 through the MKCC Fund towards the renovation of a Victorian Railway carriage and construction works improving accessibility. As Wolverton is an old railway town the group aim to keep its history alive by rescuing the Victorian Railway Carriage. The renovation works will allow the group to continue using it for serving refreshments at events, whilst ensuring that visitors can safely and comfortably enjoy the historical experience
