ForMiltonKeynes are making Christmas merry and bright

Through ForMiltonKeynes we are providing 100+ gifts to children and 160 goody bags to older people in sheltered accommodation around Milton Keynes

Arlene Peters, the Community & Network Coordinator of ForMiltonKeynes has been busy with a team of volunteers in recent weeks.

She has been putting together gifts for children and older people around Milton Keynes to make their Christmases merry and bright.

The team have prepared over one hundred Christmas presents for children across our city to be distributed through MK Council’s Children and Families Centres.

For so many families, this gesture of generosity is the difference between having a gift to open on Christmas and not.

This year the team have also put together 160 Goody Bags to go to older people in our neighbourhood and residents of our local sheltered accommodation units in Oldbrook, Eaglestone, Springfield, and Two Mile Ash to remind them that we’re FOR them & Love them.

Each bag contains some great Christmas treats along with a Christmas pudding and a special Christmas booklet.

In addition, the team were able to provide some Christmas cheer in the form of mugs and treats for the Time Out group of over 55s who meet regularly at Milton Keynes Christian Centre.  The gifts were well received.
