Link to Carers MK

Carers MK supports unpaid carers and young carers in Milton Keynes aged 8 – 98+

Carers MK exists entirely to support the health and wellbeing of individuals who are caring for someone who cannot manage without them due to illness, physical disability, frailty, learning disability, mental health issues, addiction or additional needs.

They support carers from all backgrounds including young carers, parents of children with a disability or an additional need, carers from the black and minority ethnic community (BAME), older carers and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) carers.

FORMK were able to support Carers MK through the ‘MKCC Fund’

Recently we gave Carers MK £1,150 through the MKCC Fund for 10 floristry sessions over the next year for adult carers to participate in. Throughout lockdown conditions, sessions will be delivered online by qualified and experienced florists on Zoom. The workshop will provide an hour session that allows carers to be creative, have a chat with other carers, and feel like they are doing something for themselves.
